How important are NGOs in Japan?

These days there are many things that can be helped or supported due to war and poverty. Therefore, people always support and live while being supported. To promote these supportings, NGOs work hard. Today, I am going to introduce one of the NGOs in Japan.

Nippon International Cooperation for Community Development (NICCO) is one of the representative NGOs in Japan. NICCO is an international NGO and its head office is located in Kyoto, Japan. It supports the people’s independence in developing countries. In Japan, it supports the reconstruction of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Also, it is training human resources of young people. Because of these activities for over 40 years, it was recognized by the country and received numerous awards. Moreover, the number of the young people who wish to join to these activities are increasing because NICCO has great influence on young people. I believe that many people who remain in the disaster area appreciate NICCO because they are still suffering from the environment in which they are located.

In the end, someone in the world is always seeking help. Therefore it is important to look for help.
